GARETH WILLIAM

Gareth è nato a Newport, nel Galles – Regno Unito – dove è anche cresciuto. Ha frequentato l’Università di Glamorgan per la sua laurea di primo livello, nonché l’Università di Stato del Missouri Centrale negli Stati Uniti, in occasione di uno scambio da studente per Erasmus. Dopo aver completato il suo corso di studi per insegnare, ha iniziato la sua carriera quale docente. Attraverso l’organizzazione Worldteach è diventato insegnante volontario nelle Isole Marshall, una pacifica lontana regione – in competizione col crescere del livello del mare! Ha quindi acquisito il suo titolo per insegnare inglese agli stranieri e si è recato ad Atene, in Grecia, insegnando un anno nella meravigliosa capitale ellenica. Con la sua profonda passione per la ricca storia e la cultura dei paesi mediterranei, ha scelto l’Italia quale il luogo seguente per crescere e svilupparsi professionalmente e personalmente.

Gareth was born and raised in Newport, Wales in the U.K. He attended the University of Glamorgan for his undergraduate degree, as well as Central Missouri State University in the USA, under the ERASMUS exchange student scheme. After this he completed his PGCE, in teaching and began his career in education. Through the Worldteach organisation, he became a volunteer teacher in the Marshall Islands, a remote pacific nation at threat from rising sea-levels! He gained his TEFL qualification and then travelled to Athens, Greece, teaching there for a year in the impressive Hellenic capital city. Having a passion for the rich history and culture of Mediterranean states, he has chosen Italy as the next place to grow and develop, professionally and individually.
